The Kandesky Vampire Chronicles Boxed Set eBook Michele Drier
I'll start by saying that there is a good story in there somewhere but it is hidden in the muck of bad writing and worse editing. It was hard to get past all the grammatical errors and typos. The ideas in the storyline were good but the writing style just isn't. A lot of cliches, character traits that were incongruous, characters that were not very likable, speech that was very stiff, and actions that made no sense. The second book ends on a cliffhanger that is not addressed in the following books of the set. I'm not willing to buy the next book to see if it is ever resolved. I finished reading this set hoping that the writing would improve and the cliffhanger would be resolved, but neither happened. I do not recommend this series.

The Kandesky Vampire Chronicles Boxed Set eBook Michele Drier Reviews
This is my first foray into a vampire story/series. I loved the high-fashion/celebrity/globe-trotting setting. Jean-Louis is a most enticing male character. Maxie has her work cut out for her, both professionally and personally. Fun series.
this book keeps getting better and better, every chapter holds me w/the saga of this couple will she let him feed from her but most important will she love him enough to become immortal and be with him forever.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It's an interesting twist on the whole vampire thing...not all vampires are good...only those who see the sense of living in the world today as a benign species. The romances were wonderful, the places and sights were spectacular. Lots of history, good "old" romance, spicy romance in the latest! Certainly more than a great value for the money. Michele Drier has created a unique world and I can't wait for more!
These books kept me reading and I even went ahead and bought the fifth book to see what happens. I like the modern day scenario in the first two books, but I really enjoyed the historic look back into the vampire's beginnings in books 3 & 4. For me that is the appeal of vampires. One individual living & experiencing all that time. A being who is an accumulation of lives all rolled into one.
My least favorite character is Maxie in the second novel. She's a little whiney, but by book 5 she is starting to get with the program.
Overall a fun read!
I am about half way through this 4 story set. The story itself I like. It is an interesting take on the vampire theme. The heroine does become a little annoying from time to time. For a character to have worked hard to get to where she is in the magazine business she comes across as childish at times. Aside from the times when she should be banished to the corner for a time out the story itself holds my attention so far and I keep reading to find out what is going to happen next in this conflict between two vampire families. It is certainly worth the time to at least give the sample a try to see if the story is for you.
Deeply involved set of Stories detailing the formation of the Kandesky business empire and how they left behind the old vampire lifestyle to become rich and powerful while still facing challenges from a rival group. The stories jump between time periods which eventually provide a clear perspective of the centuries of Kandesky "family" development. I enjoyed almost all except how the Huzars treated slave women! Something should have been done by the Kandesky group to rescue people like Luna...far beyond disgusting what the Huzars were doing!
When I started reading about the Kandesky family it was a new twist on vampires living not just among humans but With them I was anxious to see how Ms. Drier would build the story. She has fashioned a family with a long history. She tells of a romance between a vampire & human who are drawn to each other and have to learn about each other. But in this tale the man has quite a long past, like hundreds of years and the telling of that story is woven with the current storyline. It is beautiful from beginning to end and will leave you satisfied but ready for the next step in this relationship. You will care what is happening and root for these people because you care. Highly recommended, especially if you prefer your characters layered and interesting.
